As we begin Holy Week I have decided to start a new feature on Mondays. It is called “Monday Meditation” and it will be a verse I have chosen for people to meditate on before beginning the week. This week I have chosen Isaiah 41:10.
fear not, for I am with you;
be not dismayed, for I am your God;
I will strengthen you, I will help you,
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Lord, as we prepare to begin a new week, I ask that you guide us and prepare us for whatever might be in front of us. Strengthen us when we are weak, calm us when the waves threaten to overtake us, keep us safe and secure us. Let us be reminded that you are here for us and let us feel your presence around us.
Lord, I thank you for all you provide for us. You are gracious beyond belief and we have truly been blessed more than we deserve, we owe our very lives to you and we thank you and praise your Holy Name.
Help me to keep straight my path. Lord, I pray that I will be strong and courageous in being your witness when the opportunity presents itself. I ask that you will give me the words to say and the strength to say them.
I pray these words in the name of your glorious Son, Jesus Christ.
Amen.
