Monday Meditation: Galatians 6:9

This week’s Monday Meditation comes from Galatians 6:9.

And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.

Lord, it is not always easy for us to do good. We struggle and we falter in our relationships too many times, sometimes at home and sometimes at work. We know that we are supposed to do good. We know we are supposed to be holy as you are holy, and yet, as Paul reminds us, we still do what we do not want to do.

We come to you today and we ask you to help us to take a step back before we speak or before we act, and take a moment to ask ourselves if what we are about to say or do is something you would have us say or do.

When we have been wronged please help us to understand that we should not repay evil for evil, but to repay evil with good. Help us to understand when we have wronged somebody and give us the strength to make it right.

Help us to be the agents of change, setting an example that will make others look at us and ask us what it is that makes us different.

We ask this in the precious name of your Son, Jesus Christ.

Amen
