This week’s meditation is on Romans 12:2:

² Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect

Lord, all too often we get caught up in the world. Too often we take our eyes off of what is truly important and we lose focus of you. We become conformed to the world because we take our eyes off of the renewal of our minds.

We become competitive with those who are around us and we get jealous of others. All too often we focus on building up earthly treasures, when we should be focused on building up treasures in heaven.

Lord, help me to keep focused on you and your glory. I pray Lord that I will not conform to the sinful nature of this world, but that I will have a renewal of the mind. Place in me a new heart, Lord, and help me to discern your will so that what I do is good and acceptable to you.

I ask this in Jesus’ glorious name, Amen.
