Monday Meditation: Romans 12:12

This week’s meditation is on Romans 12:12:

12 Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.

Dear Lord, Almighty Father, we know that in this world there will be tribulation, there will be temptations. We know that the creation has fallen and is groaning out as in the pains of birth.

But yet despite this we have this hope, the hope brought through your son Jesus Christ, the hope of a new life with no pain and where all our tears will be wiped away. The promise of a new Heaven and a new earth.

Lord this is such a beautiful promise, such a beautiful image. I long for the new heaven and the new earth. Lord please help me to be patient in the hard times, give me strength and lift me up. I pray that even when times are tough you will still find me calling out to your holy name in praise of the hope to come.

Amen
