This week’s meditation is on Psalm 145:18:

The Lord is near to all who call on him,
    to all who call on him in truth. (ESV)

How wonderful it is to know that God is always with us, that he walks beside us, and that he will never abandon us. I can walk in confidence knowing that he is guiding my steps and protecting my path.

Heavenly Father, I come to you today to say thank you for always being near to me. I praise your holy name! When I called on your name you saved me, and you continue to be there for me.

I pray Lord that I will always remember to turn to you for strength when I am having a difficult time, and I pray that I will always remember to turn to you to glorify your name when I am joyful.

But it’s more than that, as your follower I am called to spread the Good News to everybody Lord, and how could I not want to tell everybody what you’ve done for me? I owe you everything, and I want others to know you are an awesome God!

Help me to be a strong voice proclaiming your name.
