This week’s Monday meditation is on Proverbs 3:5-6:

Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
    and do not lean on your own understanding.
⁶ In all your ways acknowledge him,
    and he will make straight your paths. (ESV)

Dear Lord, you are a trustworthy God. You are all-knowing, Paul says the foolishness of God is wiser than man and he is right. So often we try to do things our own way instead of relying on your understanding. I pray Lord that this week I will lean on your understanding instead of trying to do it by myself.

I pray that I will remember to put aside my pride and come to you in humility, knowing that you understand so much more than I ever could. Please God guide me through the week and make my path straight.

We serve a great God and I pray that I will acknowledge you and praise you not only when things are going my way, but also when I am having trouble, for you are there in my trouble and will never forsake me.

I pray this in Jesus’ holy and sacred name.
