Monday Meditation: Psalm 91:2

This week’s meditation is on Psalm 91:2:

I will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust.”

Lord, last week was tough. It is still on our minds. We saw senseless violence and murder, and it was all over words and differences of opinion. Lord, I can’t wrap my head around this, and I cannot understand it. What has happened to our culture when we cannot have a civil disagreement without violence?

I struggle to understand this even though I know that you are in control. I still can’t help but ask why. But I put my trust in you, for you are my refuse and my fortress.

Lord, there is a sickness in this world, we are broken and our souls need healing. I pray, Lord, that maybe people will begin to understand that what they need is you. I pray that somehow this will lead to a reawakening.

Lord, I am at a loss for words, please bring healing to us, and some type of peace to the family Charlie Kirk left behind.

I ask this in Jesus’ precious name.

Amen

Thanks for Sharing! What recent events have pressed on my heart is the call to unity. The problem is we look for unity in all the wrong places. I too pray for peace and unity under God.

Amen! Thank you for stopping by! I pray for unity under God as well. I’ve heard there’s been an uptick in church attendance in many churches, but I fear too many people are “uniting” under their political party. I pray for a softening of hearts.
