This week’s meditation is on Isaiah 33:2:
O Lord, be gracious to us; we wait for you.
Be our arm every morning,
our salvation in the time of trouble. (ESV)
Lord, we know that you are always gracious to us. It is by your grace alone what we have the hope and the promise of eternal life. There is nothing we can do to earn it, and I praise you for having mercy on me that I do not deserve.
Lord, sometimes I want to do things my own way. Help me to wait on you, help me to be patient and to discern what it is you want me to do.
You are my strength and my salvation, help me to be strong and to have the courage to spread your word so those who do not know you might also learn of your salvation.
I pray also Lord that those whom I speak to might have a softening of the heart, I pray that they might be open to hearing your word. Lord, we need you in this world more than ever. I know you are here, but we need others to hear of your glory so that they might turn and forgiven.
Lord, I pray that it might start with me.
Amen
