This week’s meditation is Psalm 8:3-4:
3 When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers,
the moon and the stars, which you have set in place,
4 what is man that you are mindful of him,
and the son of man that you care for him?
Lord, the more we learn about your creation and how big and marvelous it is the more I marvel at your wondrous power and knowledge. Science keeps learning more and more about your works, and the more we learn the more amazing you are.
And yet despite the vastness of the universe you look down on the people you created and you call us to you. We might be many on the earth, but we are but a speck in the vast universe and yet you care and love each one of us. You made all of this for us!
Lord, I thank you for all of this and I glorify your Holy name!
Amen
