This week’s meditation is on Psalm 42:11:

Why are you cast down, O my soul,
    and why are you in turmoil within me?
Hope in God; for I shall again praise him,
    my salvation and my God. (ESV)

Lord God, I lift up my voice to you in praise! Praise be to the One who made the heavens and the earth, and everything in them. You are my God and my salvation, in you is everything I need.

When I get down, or I start to feel the pressure building around me I turn to you. There is no turmoil in my soul when I remember your wondrous ways. You calm my soul and give me peace.

I pray Lord that I will always turn to you first instead of trying to do it my own way. For you know what I need before I know it, and you are steadfast and true.
