This week’s meditation is on Psalm 19:14:
Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer. (ESV)
Heavenly Father, I know that I’m heading into a busy week. I know it’s going to be tough, and I know that I will be facing pressure from all sides. I also know that not everybody will be full of grace. I pray that if tensions start to flare up, that I will guard the words which come out of my mouth.
You are my rock and my redeemer, may all of my actions, my thoughts, and my words be acceptable in your sight. I pray, Lord, that I will remember that we are all made in your image. And I pray that I will step back and take a moment when everything is closing in to think before I speak. But not only to think, but to do and say what is pleasing to you.
May I be an example to others. Please Lord let me be a reflection of your light, a light that shines all around me. Let me be an example that draws other to you.
I pray this in Jesus’ holy name.
