A Chess Match in the Desert
Hebrews 4:15 tells us that Jesus can sympathize with our weaknesses because he was tempted “in every respect” just as we are tempted. While the Bible only records three examples of the temptations Jesus faced, I think we can assume that as a man walking the earth Jesus felt temptations many times. The Bible hints at this in Luke 4:13. The difference is that he never gave in to temptation.
